Snow Chaos 2006

In February 2006 the snowfall did not seem to end. Tons of snow threatend to bring roofs to collaps, so we needed to clear the roofs from the mega amounts that kept falling from the sky.

Up to 8 hours daily we were on the roofs trying to win against the
snow which just kept falling. Almost faster than we could clear
it off the roofs.  Being 188cm tall, I was not tall enough to overlook the amounts of fresh fallen snow. Some places we mesured 2,5 meters of snow on the roof. Tons of ice also needed to be cleared off, as they kept the melted snow from running off.
Our lobby windows were snowed in at the end so that we had to use artifical light even during the day in order to "see" our way
around. Only the big machines could bring relieve to our parking
lots, as we dumped the snow from the roofs straight down to it.
The first floor balcony was covered above the hight of the balcony doors. The spectacular view of the mountains ended in the hieps of snow lying in front of the door.
The main entrance of the hotel was closed for a view hours daily
as we needed to dump the snow from the main roof straight down in front of the entrance.
The only one who loved the tons of snow was Niklas, he thought that the hand made mountain in front of the door, was a great place to slide with his bob.

A little impression of a grown up standing in front of the snowwall which we shuffled off the flat roof from the swimming pool side.
